Small games,
with big plans.

Sausage Studios is an independent games studio in London.

We make games we'd want to play ourselves: simple to get into, thoughtfully made, and hopefully a little difficult to put down.

We're starting small. We don't plan to stay in one genre.

Anagrow is out now. Free on iPhone.

How Anagrow works

Anagrow

A daily word puzzle that grows as you solve it.

Daily word puzzle · iPhone · Free

Start with a four-letter word. Find the five-letter word that grows from it, then the six.

Each word keeps every letter from the one before and adds one new one. So with every step, the puzzle gets bigger, but you know a little more of the answer.

You have fourteen guesses to solve the whole chain.

One new puzzle every day, and the same one for everyone.

  • No accountJust open the app and play.
  • Plays offlineEverything you need is already on your phone.
  • One a dayA fresh chain every day, then you're done until tomorrow.
  • FreeIf you run out of guesses, you can choose to watch an ad for a few more. Completely optional.

This is the first one.

Anagrow is our first game, but it isn't a blueprint for everything that comes next.

Sausage Studios isn't tied to one genre. We're interested in ideas that are fun, easy to understand and worth spending time with, whether they fit neatly alongside what we've made before or take us somewhere completely new.

For now, we're making one thing at a time and trying to make each one better than the last.

The studio

Small, for now.

Sausage Studios is based in London.

Being small means we can follow an idea because we like it, change our minds when something isn't working, and care about details that would be very easy to ignore.

It also means the person making the game is the person reading your email.

Made with care

We like games that respect the person playing them.

That means keeping things clear, avoiding unnecessary clutter, and only asking for things like accounts or personal information when there's a genuinely good reason.

Mostly, we want to make games that feel good to have on your phone.

Why Sausage Studios?

It's named after a dachshund.

He was not consulted.
